CAMPERVAN CARPET LINING & INSULATION
At BadaBing, our dedicated team have over 10 years of collective experience in insulating and carpet lining vans. This experience, together with the top quality materials and products that we use, results in a van that is not only much more comfortable but is much quieter too for both you and your passengers.
Each van is subject to a full 3 stage insulation process (full details of this is given below) and then using a high temperature glue, all the exposed metalwork and panels are lined in flame retardant carpet. Additionally, all panels are secured using secret fixings, where possible, to ensure a smooth seamless finish. Finally, with numerous carpet colour’s to choose from, we can accommodate your personal style and taste.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CARPET LINING?
As standard a van leaves the factory and often lacks adequate sound deadening, which results in road noise as well as a high degree of temperature fluctuation over the course of the seasons.
Adding insulation and carpet to the inside of the van gives it a much more luxurious and comfortable feel and make it less ‘van-like’. By insulating and lining the van, this not only reduces the noise and vibration within the van, but it helps to regulate the temperature. It helps to keep the heat in during winter as well as help reduce the heat inside the van during the summer.
Additionally, the insulation and carpet we fit into the van also acts to reduce the moisture build up within the van - which is important if you plan on using your van as a camper.
CARPET LINING PACKAGE - WHAT’S INCLUDED?
FULL 3 STAGE INSULATION:
DodoMat - This is automotive soundproofing that is designed to reduce rattles, vibration and noise. This is applied to the panels of the van, the wheel arches and roof.
Thermoliner - This is a flexible closed cell elastomeric foam which helps to regulate the temperature within the van as well as act as a moisture barrier. Again, this applied to the panels, and roof.
Dacron - This lightweight material is put into the cavities of the van structure an acts as a final layer of insulation to help regulate temperature.
CARPET LINING:
As standard, we use a 4 way stretch carpet to line the metalwork of the van. The lining panels are also lined and are then professionally secured to the van using secret fixings to create a seamless finish. There are numerous colours to choose from, so we can work to your particular taste and style.
